Responding to customer feedback we are now offering a free choice of dates for our full day courses (depending on availability of places). This enables you to choose the date or dates you want to spend at the pottery, allowing you, if you wish, to enjoy some of the many other activities in this beautiful part of Andalucia.

We ask you to book in advance to help us keep groups small, usually a maximum of six. Tuition is largely individual and covers all the traditional working methods such as coiling, slabbing, pinching, moulding, casting and throwing. Even if you have never worked with clay before, you’ll soon be making attractive pots or sculptures. You will also have the chance to use the incredibly versatile medium of ‘paper clay’.

If you want to concentrate on any particular aspect of the potter’s craft, such as throwing, we will make sure you have the time, equipment and materials to pursue your particular interest.

Also, depending on your requirements, other aspects of potting such as glaze formulating and kiln firing can be covered.
We encourage you to choose your work place either in the studio, workshop or outside on one of our terraces. If you want to explore and sketch there are acres of private pathways to stroll along where you’ll find inspiration for forms and textures.

Tutored classes are from 10am to 2pm, but the work areas are open all day so that you can continue to work on your projects after lunch. Help and advice is usually available throughout the afternoon. Alternatively you may feel like having a well earned siesta or take a drive to visit one of the many local sites of interest.

Lunch is a full three course buffet of hot and cold dishes. Menus are based around a healthy ‘Mediterranean’ diet and we use locally sourced fresh ingredients as much as possible. Wines and other drinks are all included. Although we take our craft seriously we never forget that you are on holiday.  We make sure you’ll find it easy to fit in, have fun and make new friends.
When booking we ask you to fill in a simple questionnaire to enable us to create your individual tuition schedule and to plan for any special dietary requirements.

* Finished fired and glazed works taken home are charged at €7 per kilo.

N.B. For single day bookings we require payment in full 4 weeks in advance. For multiple days we require a 25% deposit 4 weeks in advance.

As well as welcoming local residents to take part in our full day classes we also offer them regular weekly classes.

If you have ever toyed with the idea of pottery-making, our fun, friendly morning classes are for you! As you discover which skills and techniques you wish to learn or improve, we will help you master them.
Your work is saved in a damp box each week so if you wish you can even undertake large or complex works. You’ll be pleasantly surprised just how much you can achieve after a few lessons.
